Workouts & Training Maps – Routes
The Maps – Routes we use for running and cycling are also some of the safest places for our workouts. The roads are well maintained and the majority have bike lanes, wide shoulders and are well lit. The trails and other facilities that we use are well maintained and safe. Athletes safety is always a priority for Lions Valley Athletics and when using these routes for any workout, always have a buddy, be alert and obey traffic laws. Helmets a
re mandatory for all cycling workouts.
The maps – routes are regularly referenced in the Workouts on our Calendar. The workouts will always be changing, and even though we might use the 5KM running loop for two workouts both workouts will usually serve different purposes. View Calendar and this weeks workouts [CALENDAR].

The familiar routes we use for workouts and training. They are great because of the space on both sides of the road and workouts can be adjusted to make thems as easy or challenging as needed.

We are always looking to change up our workouts because the variety promotes adaptability and it helps prevent athletes from plateauing so they constantly excel at the races!
