Gender Equality in XC Update
This is an update to the original post [Gender Equality in XC Race Distances...] The original post came from my frustration in learning of the vote against gender equalization of the Mens and Womens Cross Country distances in the CIS Championship from an article that appeared in Canadian Running Magazine. It is important as Canadians and Leaders that we stand against discrimination of any sort and as runners and athletes to have a sport that is open and inclusive. Women face barriers every day including questions from press that they would never ask their male counterparts as shown in the #CovertheAthlete video below. Don't let our sport be another one!
