New Age CategoriesWe made some minor changes to our Memberships for 2017 so that we can more effectively provide the resources and services to our members. The number of age categories is increasing from two (2) to four (4) so that everything LVA provides can be more focused and specialized for each categories needs. 2016 AO XC Championship Results

Lions Valley Athletics sent a team of 6 athletes to the 2016 Athletics Ontario Cross Country Championships in Niagara this past weekend.  Darryl Rowan, our sole Masters competitor ran the Masters 5KM event, the first race of the day.  This was his return to racing after taking some time off due to injury and he was pleased with how he finished. Winter is Coming: Sat Workout Moves to 10:00am

 The clocks changed last weekend giving everyone an extra hour Saturday evening.  With the changing of the clocks we will also adjust our Saturday morning workout for the winter. The Sat Workout moves to 10:00AM starting November 12, 2016 through March 2017 when the clocks change back and on March 18, 2017 Saturdays workout moves back to 9:00AM. We decided to do this for a couple of reasons:Mornings can get cold in the winter and the […]

2016 OMA Sunnybrook 8KM XC Results

 For the second year in a row, Mike Gill competed in the OMA Sunnybrook 8KM XC race.  This year conditions were less than ideal with the recent rain making the ground, muddy and soft which meanst Mike was unlikely to break the M35 course record he set last year.
