Lions Valley Athletics sent a team of 6 athletes to the 2016 Athletics Ontario Cross Country Championships in Niagara this past weekend. Darryl Rowan, our sole Masters competitor ran the Masters 5KM event, the first race of the day. For the second year in a row, Mike Gill competed in the OMA Sunnybrook 8KM XC race. This year conditions were less than ideal with the recent rain making the ground, muddy and soft which meanst Mike was unlikely to break the M35 course record he set last year.
